PRODUCT REVIEW: WET N' WILD'S MEGAGLO HIGHLIGHTING POWDER IN SHADE PRECIOUS PETALS

During the time that the Wet N' Wild's MegaGlo Highlighters became a hype, my sister bought me one in shade Precious Petals. I just got it late because the box takes long before it arrives in the Philippines.

This highlighter started out as a limited edition by Wet N Wild back in 2016 but since it was famous for being a great highlighter, it became permanent.

Let us now review it more closely.

Brand: Wet N' Wild

Type: MegaGlo Highlighter

Shade: Precious Petals

Weight: 5.4g

Product Description and Ingredients:

Pros:

For a drugstore brand, this highlighter is cruelty-free.

It can be applied anywhere in your face but I suggest to apply it on parts or points of your face that the light touches.

Precious Petals' shade is Gold or Light Gold. Upon application though, it looks darker than light gold. It worked well in my medium skin tone. (I use MAC NC20)

The highlighter is highly pigmented, one to two layers is enough to show the pay-off of the color.

I love that the powder is shimmery even underneath the surface. Most highlighters shimmering powder is only superficial and this one is not.

Some say that it is too shimmery for day use but I can use it during the day without making it look party-like highlighter. The intensity of the shimmer can be built up, you can start it as subtle to more pronounced.

The powder is easy to use and blend. It did not cause a mess in my face with excess dust.

The color is actually common and you can find similar ones to other brands but this one is already affordable. Temptalia also shared that this one is a dupe to Urban Decay's limited edition Game Of Thrones Highlighter shade Viserion.

Cons:

Only available online in the Philippines.

I miss using highlighters! I just refrain using it during summer because it makes my skin look oily rather than glowing. LOL. Anyway, thank you for reading my review and let us keep in touch in my social media accounts.
