PRODUCT REVIEW: DIOR'S ADDICT LIP GLOW IN SHADE PINK (001)

When my good friend, Carmel of carmelsparkle and Kaycee of themachomom.com - both suggested that I try Dior's Addict Lip Glow during our date, I did not hesitate to try it. All I know is that, this lip balm will change the way I feel about wearing lipsticks. Is it true? Let us find out by reading further.

There are many shades available for Dior Lip Glow but I chose the first shade 001 Pink. It seems that this is their best seller.

When I think about it the first time, I did not expect much on the product because I feel like it is a regular lip balm. Something that can moisturize my lips but expensive because it is Dior!

I was not able to test it right away, I think it took me almost a week before I was able to take photos and finally use it. But believe me, I wish I had tried it sooner.

The packaging is a shiny silver tube encased in a sheer pink cap with a Dior logo. The formula of the lip balm is lightweight and easy to glide over lips. Upon application, the lip balm is sheer or translucent but as it was absorbed by my lips as the time goes, it created a natural color and with the use of this shade - it reflected a pinkish one. This is the technology used for this lip balm, the lip balm adjusts to the humidity of the lips or pH of the lips.

My lips felt smooth and soft after use! There is also a color that is why I feel like I wore something sheer for a lipstick. The huge difference from a regular lipbalm - it gives a natural like color that is more opaque like a sheer lipstick. For the lipstick's difference, this one does not cause any dryness to the lips, in fact, it made my lips smooth and soft!

Using Dior's Lip Glow definitely changed my views on how I wanted to wear my makeup daily. Now, if I will not go somewhere special, I just use this like a regular lip balm together with my makeup! Because I loved it, I now wanted to try all the other shades available.

Cons:

It is really quite expensive for a lip balm - it costs 2,100php per tube but with the color intensity and moisturized lips - it is worth it! Or at least depending on your priorities!

There are only limited stores of Dior in the Philippines. I got this one from their branch at Podium. I hope they open up more branches soon!
