PRODUCT REVIEW: SLEEK MAKEUP'S SOLSTICE HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE

Ever since I broke my The Balm Mary Loumanizer by dropping it and purchasing the Hourglass Ambient Highlighter last year (Review here), by seeing the Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Solstice, this was the only time that I am interested again to buy a new strobing powder. Who can resist the eye catching gold casing and the shiny powders inside? Right? I love these shiny things! So, come to me and make me glow! LOL.

Just for your information, Sleek Makeup came from UK that is considered a drugstore brand in their country. I never tried Sleek Makeup yet and this is my first time to try one and I managed to buy one of their best sellers, Solstice Highlighting Palette. I  just took my chance and asked if there is any available stock (usually it is out of stock) at SM Department Store North Edsa Branch last month. Luckily, there are last three pieces left! Yay! It is always out of stock so if you are interested to get this, make sure to reserve one and ask the sales lady to save one for you. You can leave your contact number to them and just follow up on when the next delivery will arrive. According to the one attending to me, the demand abroad is also high that is why there is a limited quantity we receive that will have to be distributed nationwide.

Are you ready to shine like a diamond? Because I sure do! So, let us check it out!

Pros:

For me, it is really affordable for a highlighting palette with a great quality. Definitely worth it! I will be able to get 4 kinds of highlighters in one palette for only 800+php. Just the possibilities of being able to create different looks with the given four options makes me want to jump from joy!

The first shade, Ecliptic is actually a cream and is designed to be use for the eyes, specially on the bony part of the brows. The Hemisphere is a baked highlighter that is designed to be use for the cheekbones. This shade is the brightest of all colors. The subsolar is a shimmer powder that is designed to highlight the bridge of the nose. Last but not the least, Equinox, is a baked powder which reminded me of my iold The Balm Maryloumanizer because its light brown like shade is similar. This shade is to be used for the cupid's bow of the lips but it is very flexible. I can also use it on any part of my face.

The case is sleek, classic and lightweight that it is easy to bring for travel. The palette also comes with a small brush. Perfect for travel, right?

The thing that made me fell in love with this highlighting palette is that the glow is sheer that makes it more natural to my skin. I can wear it day and night.

The highlighter also lasts long, the longer it stays on my skin, the better it looked. It blended well with my makeup when absorbed completely.

The palette is easy to use and I can recommend it even to beginners.

My thoughts about it? Yes! It can possibly be my next holy grail. I do not want to declare it yet because I haven't tried all the best selling highlighters in the market but so far I love it. The quality is impressive and yet you get it in a very affordable price. Quite a steal! Just in case that Sleek Makeup will stop producing this, I will really hoard it!

Cons:

Other than the gold metallic packaging getting finger prints because it is too shiny, I have no other problem with it.

SWATCH:

This is how the Hemisphere looks on my cheekbones. You can also get a glimpse of the Subsolar shade on the side of my nose.

This is how the Ecliptic looks like on the bony part of my eyebrows.

This is how the Equinox looks like on the cupid's bow of my lips. I just used my finger that is why it looks a little messy. I suggest that you use a thin brush so you could just line the edge of your cupid's bow.

Overall, this is how it looks:
