PRODUCT REVIEW: LANEIGE'S BB CUSHION PORE CONTROL IN NO. 21 (NATURAL BEIGE)
Sorry for the past 2 weeks I am inactive in blogging and some of my social media account. The last week of July, I had a flu and I opted to rest at home after recovering, I left for province on the first week of August. I really have a lot of pending reviews and posts but I will try to share all of it as soon as possible. I will now review one of my favorite finds for the month of July.
Laneige is a brand that I always look at but never bought anything. I know it is a reputable brand creating great skin care and cosmetics but my mind always stops me in spending too much. I always put it aside.
Laneige is also the brand that according to the reviews that I read and hear, they offer the best BB Cushion in the market. If you frequently read my blog, I am not a fan of BB creams. Yes, I use it but I prefer a heavier coverage such as liquid foundations. As recommended by a fellow blogger, Ms. Gen-zel of www.genzelkisses.com, this BB Cushion is definitely a must-have. Since it works like a wet powder in a compact, I wanted to give it a try.
I am planning to buy one soon then when I saw it being used by Dr. Kang (Song Hye Kyo) at the Descendants of the Sun, I am now more interested to try it. (Note: Ms. Gen-zel also influenced me in watching Descendants of the Sun and I am now addicted to it too!) It is a good thing that I got a free shopping credits at Althea that I was able to get this BB Cushion for free.

In my addiction to the show, I also bought the Two Tone Lipstick in shade Juicy Pop used on the video together with the BB Cushion. I am actually just waiting for the package to arrive so I can share it soon.
So...Enough blabbering and let me now get it straight to the reviews.

What comes inside the box? I got the compact casing with mirror with the cushion in place plus a refill.
The compact alone makes the product worth it. It is just perfect because it looks so expensive. (But it is affordable.)
When opened, the compact has a mirror and a puff included.
The compact comes with a safety lid to prevent your puff from being soaked with the BB cushion.
The foam is thin but it is easy to use and it does not disintegrate easily like the other puffs included in compact powders.
After opening the lid, it has an additional seal of sticker at the cushion. Remove it only if you are planning to use the BB Cushion already.
The cushion is easy to remove and replace with the refill. Check the photo below on how it looks like when I remove the cushion itself from the compact casing.
The foam inside the cushion is neatly packed and it does not spill any BB cream from the inside.
Pros:
The Laneige BB Cushion has an elegant packaging. One box contains two cushions and one compact case. For the price, I get a refill instantly from buying one set.
The compact is easy to bring because it is light weight. I can now ditch my extra mirror in my kit because it already has one inside its compact casing.
The BB Cushion has UV protection of SPF50+ PA+++. The protection is actually high, most makeup that I use only contains SPF15 to SPF30 protection.
The target of this cushion is for pore control. I posted my before and after photos below for comparison. And yes, it did lessen the appearance of my pores quite naturally.
The powder is semi matte but it gives a natural dewy look. My light blemishes and skin discolorations were lightly covered.
The lasting power of the cushion on my face is it remained fresh for at least 4 hours. I also noticed that the longer it was absorbed by my skin, the more natural it looked. After at least 8 hours at work without doing a re-touch, my skin still looked fresh but the coverage was lessened.
The packaging insert stated that it has a cooling sensation to be felt upon application. I will not say that it is really cooling because I did not felt any cool sensation but the cushion has a light feeling on my skin that does not feel warm nor heavy like usual BB Creams or foundations.
The cushion is non-greasy and my skin did not develop any unwanted oil throughout the day.
It has a scent of a perfume that I cannot distinguish the origin but it is not bothering.
This Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control is now my everyday partner. I can now ditch wearing liquid foundations everyday and reserve it for special occasions instead. I love the natural dewy look and coverage that I get from this BB Cushion that is now perfect for my everyday use.
Cons:
If you are looking for a heavy coverage, this BB cushion cannot do that. The Laneige BB Cushion can only cover light to medium coverage.
It is a little expensive but worth it for me. :)
