PRODUCT REVIEW: L'OREAL'S REVITALIFT LASER X3 POWER WATER

With the summer's unforgiving hot weather, my skin already suffers from dryness. Just being under the sun in a prolonged period makes me feel dehydrated, what more for my skin! Plus, my skin is not getting any younger so I do not want to make it look any older by neglecting a good skin care routine.

I just newly discovered this L'Oreal Revitalift Laser X3 Power Water when I got a package with the complete line of products from Revitalift Laser inside. (Thank you L'Oreal!) I first reviewed about the amazing Eye Cream with metal applicator. My next curiosity is to try this L'Oreal's Power Water.

At first, I am really confused on how to use this because it is neither a toner nor a serum. Heck, I even do not know on where to insert it in my skin care routine. I kept thinking on WHEN should I apply it. LOL. I thought that this is like an essence wherein it will help my skin boost anything that I apply after it but after reading from the box, this can be applied before essence or moisturizer. It only means that it is not also an essence...LOL.

Pros:

Well, with my statement earlier, it is true that I do not know on what kind of product this Power Water belongs too, no need to think further because it just stands out! It is amazingly a miracle water! I will leave it as that. If it works, why make it difficult in looking for what family does it belongs too, right?

Anyway, let me make it clear again that this product is NOT a toner, essence nor serum. It is suggested to be used after cleansing and before application of essence, serum or moisturizer. For me, I use it after cleansing and toning my skin. After that, I usually apply my essence, serum, face mask then lastly my moisturizer or night cream. Finally, I was able to find where best to use it.

I now prefer using it twice a day, in the morning, after cleansing, I use it to hydrate my skin. In the evening, I do the usual skincare routine.

The first thing I loved about this product is the floral-like scent that deeply reminded me of Shiseido products. The scent is quite relaxing.

I tried applying it without a cotton pad, I was able to spread the product well without using too much product compared with the use of a pad.

Immediately after I use it, I already felt that my skin feels smooth and soft. As the day goes by that I continue to use it, I noticed that my skin looks healthier than dull. I can even skip using the other products because this alone makes my skin feel VERY hydrated.

In fact, I tested its power with the help of my Mili Moisture Detector.

The hydration level of my skin before using this product is 38.5% which is considered average. After the L'Oreal Power Water was absorbed fully by my skin, I re-tested again and the moisture level increased to 39.3%, it increased by 0.8% which is not bad as it is just like water. Of course if I will compare it to serums and face masks, the increase in hydration level is not that significant. Still, it is not that bad at all.

Most of all, I love that the water was quickly absorbed by my skin and there is no greasiness experienced at all! Even under my makeup!

The packaging alone is great that it looks like a luxurious high-end bottle but it only costs 499php! The bottle has wide hole because the water is thick like serums or a watery gel.

Cons: None noted! However, I heard from my fellow blogger friends that this product is soooo good, it tends to be out of stock in some stores. Maybe, the only problem for me is that, should I hoard? LOL.
