PRODUCT REVIEW: MAYBELLINE'S THE NUDES PALETTE
There's only one eye shadow palette that I tried before and it is from Estee Lauder. I am quite disappointed because the colors is not pigmented even if I apply several layers. So I did not use it again.
When I saw an ad from Maybelline that they will be releasing their Maybelline The Nudes Palette, I knew I have to try this out. So the day that it was released in Philippines, I immediately hoarded some from Watson's.
The Nudes Palette consists of 12 colors that I can play around. The variations of the brown shades are great that I cannot choose on what I want. I can create many styles and combinations of colors from this palette that will go with my mood for the day.
The Nudes Palette is also a good palette for beginners, why? It is because at the back of the case, it teaches you three ways on how you can apply your eye shadow as well as examples of combination of colors. Maybelline made it easier for us.
Now, let me share with you my thoughts on the palette.
Type: The Nudes
The colors are highly pigmented. It does not spread unwanted dusts when being applied. It lasts really long even without the use of a primer. I tested using it for my 16 hours shift and the eye shadow is still intact when I got home. Affordable!
The brush included is not a brush I can recommend for application of eye shadow. I hope they will include a real eye shadow brush in it in the future.
There are no description or codes on each color included in the palette.
For the sample of what I did to mine, I did the Quads way and chose the first four colors of the palette. To make it more dramatic, I added the darkest shade and lined it on the lids of my eyes and make it look like I have eyeliner on my eyes. (Sorry for the bushiness of my brows. No time for an eyebrow threading yet. LOL.)
