PRODUCT REVIEW: ALTHEA'S FLAWLESS CREAMY CONCEALERS

Concealers are part of makeup routine that others may have skipped. Having a wonderful skin can make you immune in using one but there are other benefits that you can also gain aside from the obvious reason of concealing.

Using a concealer can also:
1. Provide additional coverage for a smoother skin.
2. It can act as a matte natural looking highlighter when used on your cheekbones. This is a perfect sample of "no makeup" makeup look.
3. If you do not have an eye primer, you can use it as base for your eye shadow.
4. Good concealers can even cover tattoos!

Though the most popular in using one is to conceal blemishes, scars, and birthmarks - I love using a concealer to refresh my tired looking eyes. In this blog post, I made a sample of swatches of Althea's Flawless Creamy Concealers in refreshing my tired looking eyes. Observe the differences.

Althea's Flawless Creamy Concealers' tube is sleek and round, easy to be stored and bring along when I travel. It reminded me of Saem's concealers. Each tube weighs 6g and compared to other cream concealers in the market, you get more product in Althea's concealer. Most concealers in the market only weighs 3.5 to 4g.

For now, it is only available in four shades: Mocha, Honey, Ginger, and Vanilla. The shades that worked well on my skin tone is Ginger and Honey. (I am MAC NC20 user for your reference.) Hopefully soon, more shades will be available to the market.

Althea's concealer is also affordable for only 200php each! It is even more affordable than other drugstore brands concealer!

In using this concealer, I love how light it feels on my skin, it did not cake nor formed on my skin's creases. The coverage is light to medium, it may have concealed the dark circles under my eyes but the dark spots on my skin were lightly concealed though I prefer it that way specially on every day use. I do not like faking my skin with a lot of concealers to conceal blemishes. I always want a natural look and this concealer is perfect for it.

I did not have a problem in blending this cream, to my skin or with the foundation or cushions I apply over it.

Anyway, let me discuss now my experience on each shade.

VANILLA

The Vanilla looks lighter on my natural skin tone and I prefer using this as a highlighter on my cheekbones than using it under my eyes or on my blemishes.

GINGER

The Ginger looks like my natural skin tone, it blends well into my skin while concealing the dark circles under my eyes. I prefer using this for daily use.

HONEY

The Honey also looks like my natural skin tone, it blends well into my skin while concealing the dark circles under my eyes. I can use this alternately from the shade Ginger.

MOCHA

On picture, it looks like it blended well on my skin tone but personally, it can be seen that it looks darker on my natural skin. It managed to conceal the dark circles under my eyes but I had difficulty blending it on my natural skin tone.

Overall, I love all of these concealers. It is definitely effective and affordable specially if you are just starting to use makeup. I will definitely re-purchase and I rate this product 4/5, I would have given it a 5 if it managed to heavily conceal my dark blemishes. Other than that, this product is awesome!
