PRODUCT REVIEW: SHISEIDO'S WETFORCE BB (FOR SPORTS)
My first waterproof foundation from Shiseido was long emptied and knowing that I will be exposing myself to the heat of the sun last summer, I knew that I had to buy a new one. Even though I already love the Shiseido UV Protective Liquid Foundation, I have to try their other products as well.
I got this Wetforce BB with a discounted price using the gift certificates I was able to exchange with the empty bottles of skincare and makeup. The friendly staff of Shiseido Trinoma Branch suggested that I should try this one since this is the foundation being used by Swimmers in Olympics. Basically, it is designed for water.
Is it the same as Shiseido's UV Protective Liquid Foundation? Let us find out!

Actually, this is a BB Cream not a liquid foundation like the UV Liquid Foundation of Shiseido BUT it works just like a liquid foundation will do. This Wetforce BB Cream is a tinted sunscreen with sun protection up to SPF 50. The formula is thicker and creamy compared to the thinner consistency of UV Liquid Foundation.
The coverage that the BB Cream provided for my skin is Medium to High. Even though the coverage is great, I find the UV Protective Liquid Foundation of Shiseido gives a better coverage than this.
I tested it in water, the beach, and even by the pool and all I can say is that it was able to protect my skin well from the sun! My skin is free from getting tanned throughout all of my exposure. My makeup look did not even budge after submerging myself into the water in prolonged periods. The salt water and chlorinated water did not affect it at all! It stayed perfectly the same! Plus, the sweat did not removed it too, so if you are into sports and still wanted to use makeup that looks natural when you are on the go, use this one! Highly recommended! Cons:
The shades offered are limited. I chose the Light over the Medium because I prefer my face looking whiter than darker. The Medium shade is too dark for me. (I am MAC NC15 to 20 user.)
I had a hard time applying it evenly on my face unless I use a primer beforehand.
Since it is waterproof, I used a makeup remover (lots of it) to remove it. :)
Others may find it expensive but anything to protect the skin is worth it!
