PRODUCT REVIEW: COLOURPOP'S TRAP

I just can't resist. I wanted to collect ColourPop's Ultra Matte lipsticks and its really kind of addicting. Planning to at least buy one lipstick a month. Overtime at work? Yes please, just for a new shade of ColourPop Ultra Matte!

My first two lipsticks of ColourPop Ultra Matte are dark shades and this is my first nude color. I was actually torn if I will get this one or the Stingraye but I decided to choose the lighter shade so Trap it is.

If you follow my blog, you should know that I always have been a sucker in using nude lipsticks. For all the nude lipsticks that I was able to use, this one has been the closest to my real lip color. Its not too pink nor too brown.

Pros:

The cream is thick but feels light when applied on my lips. The color pay-off even though it is nude is nice because I can fully color my lips with it even with just one coating.

The color of Trap is so close to the color of my lips, I love it that way! It can pass for a no makeup look. Even though it has a grayish undertone, it still looks natural and not pale at all.

The lipstick lasts long because it survived my 8 hours shift without a need for retouch and it is also transfer-proof. No stain on my drinking glass or utensils.

It did not make my lips dry nor hydrated.

Cons:

This shade does not look as smooth as compared to my other ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipsticks because it emphasized my lip lines though the lipstick did not build up on the lines which is good. It also cracked after a few hours.

I also noticed that this one dries faster than my other ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipsticks so I have to quicker when applying this one.

It flakes off while I was trying to remove it.

Of course, my main problem with their applicator, its doe foot like. It does not hinder much with this shade though because the color is natural that any excess application is not that visible.
