Maybelline: Volum' Express Hypercurl Mascara

PRODUCT REVIEW: MAYBELLINE'S VOLUM' EXPRESS HYPERCURL MASCARA

Since I started using makeups, Maybelline is one of my favorites and one of the first brands that I owned because they offer great products in a very affordable price. I knew that their mascaras are one of their bestsellers.

This is the second mascara by Maybelline that I was able to use. The first one is the Volum' Stilleto Mascara back in year 2013. Review here.

I am now sharing a review of Maybelline's Volum' Express Hypercurl Mascara.

Pros:

The manufacturing date is embossed on the mascara's tube. This way, I can track it easier on when to replace the mascara.

The wand is curved to help the lashes curl and it has a lot of fine bristles that helps in adding volume to my lashes.

The mascara is waterproof and smudge-proof. I always rub my eyes and it does not smudge. For the water proof, I did a swatch for my review and I find it hard to remove with soap and water even though I continued rubbing it off with my fingers. To make it easier, I used a makeup remover.

Its hard to remove with soap and water so I use makeup remover on my eyes too. Be careful not to hurt your eyes though.

It helped my lashes curl but if I used a curler first then use this mascara, the effect is more desirable. The mascara maintained the curl of my lashes for 4 to 6 hours but beyond 8 hours, it is not as curled as when I freshly applied it. I did not experience any clumping of the mascara nor any dry particles from the dried mascara falling off.

The look of the mascara is like a natural looking artificial lashes.

Affordable for a really great and effective product.

Cons:

Since it has a big wand, the edge of my lashes as well as my bottom lashes is hard to reach for mascara application.

Even though I keep on adding more mascara, it did not increase the volume anymore more than two layers of application.
