PRODUCT REVIEW: FARMSTAY'S SNAIL REPAIR CREAM

Using a skin care product that is made from snail's essences has never failed to amaze me. It has an instant effect on my skin. I am so glad when I got another snail based cream to review and share here on my blog.

FarmStay's products are mostly snail based items and this Snail Repair Cream is one of their newest product. It is designed for whitening and anti-wrinkle which is what I needed lately. (Vanity strikes again!)

Nourishes and moisturize the skin generating an elastic skin. Alleviates freckles for a bright skin.

Richly supplies chondroitin for a bright skin and removes dead skin cells.

The snail mucus extract naturally clears away old dead skin cells as the fundamental cause of a dull and tired skin. It also adjusts the oil balance of the skin’s texture. A skin moisturizing film moisturizes from deep inside the skin to prevent it from drying. It is a double function cream of whitening and anti-wrinkle. Body cell vitalizing chondroitin, a main component of snail mucus filtrate (mucin), mutually reacts with collagen and elastin which the skin lacks from aging, to maintain skin elasticity and the hydro balance of the skin tissue. It also supplies rich nutrients and emits waste for a more dewy and healthy looking skin.

Pros:

Snail essences are known to heal wounds easily even in ancient times. It is rich in collagen that is why it is a known ingredient for skin repair and anti-ageing.

I use it on my face and neck after I cleanse my face every night. I apply it last after my toner and serum. Although in order to test it more accurately, I stopped using my usual skin care regimen almost a week before I started using this.

The cream is thick but it is easy to spread on my face and neck. The scent is light and floral-like. Just the way I like it.

At first, I was afraid that it will feel warm and sticky on my skin because the cream is thick but I am sadly mistaken. The cream is actually soothing to my skin upon application and even though the cream is thick, it was easily absorbed by my skin.

It has an immediate effect of hydrating my skin and it remained that way until the next day. I definitely recommend this for people with dry skin. I already plan on bringing this with me on my trip to the beach next week because during the sun exposure throughout the day, I know that this will soothe my skin at night and heal it from any damage that I may have from the sun exposure.

After washing the cream off my face the next day, I noticed that my skin looked brighter and supple. Its amazing for just a night of use and it already did a nice job to my skin. What more if I continued using it, right?

The jar has a protective lid and I did not remove it to avoid accidental spillage of my cream.

I was surprised when I opened the lid because the jar is full of cream! Most skin care items that I own is not full of the product, usually its half filled or more than half but never full. I realized that the price is definitely worth it. This jar will last me long.

The expiration date is indicated on the bottom of the jar so it is easier to keep track on when I need to throw it away.

Cons:

Since it is really hydrating, I feel a little greasy the next day when I woke up because my skin was moisturized overnight. Even washing it off, my skin remained hydrated and I experience getting a little oily throughout the day but nothing bothersome. I still consider this as a good thing though because it just means that the product worked its magic in hydrating my skin though I just wanted to share it as a con because others may not appreciate this effect on their skin.
