PRODUCT REVIEW: ELLEN TRACY'S THICK STICK LIP COLOR
I got this as a gift and the packaging looks so cute that I do not want to open it. Ellen Tracy is more famous for their clothes and not their cosmetics but I am still willing to try it and share with you my readers the swatches!
The box contains five lipsticks and unfortunately each color does not have a name. So I will just review it per color, okay?
Brand: Ellen Tracy
Product Description, Weight and Ingredients:
This is actually a nice shade. It is like orange but when applied it has a more pinkish look.
Don't ask, I do not know what happened to this lipstick but it sucks...LOL. The color does not spread evenly and even though I tried applying several layers, the color of my real lips still shows. Even its consistency is very different from the other four.
This is the best shade and it has the best texture too. The shade is slightly pigmented, two to three layers of application to get this color pop.
This shade is sheer and it is a light plum color.
This is a nude shade. I can wear it over my regular matte lipstick. It looks like a regular gloss but it has a little color.
Overall, all the lipsticks has a waxy taste and scent. It reminded me of crayons, literally. The color pay off of all the lipsticks are fine with me except Number 2, I really do not know what happened to that lipstick.
This lipstick set (and the brand) is not readily available in the Philippines. For a 5 set of lipstick for $20, its not that bad. You can easily find this set at Amazon and Ebay internationally.
