PRODUCT REVIEW: CATHY DOLL'S SCULPTING (HIGHLIGHT AND SHADING) CUSHION IN FAIR AND HONEY

Cathy Doll is the first brand that launched a cushion designed for sculpting. Yup! You read that right, designed for sculpting and it is called Sculpting Highlight and Shading Cushion! Usually cushions are made for face coverage but this cushion was made for contouring and highlighting!

Contouring and Highlighting is not a makeup skill that anyone could do specially when cream products are used. This technique is usually done by professional makeup artists or at least someone who have talent in doing makeup. However, this cushion will make any girl's dream come true when it comes to contouring and highlighting because the process is easier and does not require any makeup skill at all!

After assessing the cushion, its size is like the usual cushion compacts and the design of the compact is also cute!

It comes with a mirror and puff. The cushion can be replaced with a refill but I am not sure if Cathy Doll offers refill for their Sculpting Highlight and Shading Cushion.

I love that the cushion is still sealed with a sticker inside to avoid drying and leak of the product inside.

Pros:

It is my first time to use a sculpting cushion and all I can say is that, it made my life a whole lot easier! Who knew that contouring and highlighting could be easy? No hassle of mixing different powders. No need to worry if you applied it correctly because the cushion is designed to mix both shades well and all you need to do is just press it. (Watch my video upload above.) This sculpting cushion can be used well by beginners. I highly recommend it!

The pigmentation is light to medium but you can easily build up how dark or bright you want your sculpted look. Once applied and fully absorbed by the skin, it looks matte.

Both shades looked fine with my skin tone (MAC NC15 to 20 user) but I prefer the effect of the Fair shade on me. My skin looked more brighter and natural.

It contains sun protection of SPF 50 PA +++. Not all cushions have sun protection. I did not experience any greasiness after using this product. It lasted for at least four hours on me with a little signs of fading. The great thing about it being a cushion is that it will be easier for me to bring inside my makeup kit for touch-ups.
