PRODUCT REVIEW: SHISEIDO'S SHIMMERING CREAM EYE COLOR FOG BR 727

Thank goodness that my Sample Room points are full when they released the two shimmering cream eye color from Shiseido. Since each cream eye color costs 1000 points, I can only afford to get one. It is tough to choose between the two shades available but in the end, I chose the Fog shade over the Naiad. I think this color is easier to pair with everyday look.

The first time that I tried a cream eye color was when I went to a Shiseido workshop and Ms. Carmel chose me to be her model. She used one on me. I can remember that the color is highly pigmented. I haven't thought of buying one yet until I saw the samples at Sample Room. I thought this is my chance to try it first hand.

Upon opening the lid of the glass jar, I thought that the shade is too dark and that I may not be able to use it for everyday makeup look after all. I was greatly mistaken though, I can control the darkness of the shade by building up the colors through layers of application.

The texture is velvety and creamy so it is really easy to apply. I love using it and I now wanted to collect all the colors. I felt more at ease using this cream over eye shadow powders. Now let met share with you my review.

Pros:
One word - outstanding! I love the creamy velvet-like smooth texture because it applies smoothly and easily. It can also easily be blended. The color is highly pigmented but I was able to control the opaqueness of the color just by limiting or building up layers of the cream eye color on my lids.

My number one problem with the use of powdered eye shadows is the excess dust that I have to remove carefully but using the Shiseido's Shimmering Cream Eye Color exempts the problem of messy dusting off because it is creamy.

The shade can be used for everyday routines like work and going out somewhere. With the right amount of application, I can also use it for night out and parties. The shade is very versatile. It is also great that the jar is lightweight and small that it is easy to bring for travel. However, I experienced that this creamy eye shadow lasts long as it survived my 8 hours to 16 hours shift at work without fading and creasing. I did not expected that because I thought that since it is a cream it will disappear after a few hours from its texture.

Being dermatologist and opthalmologist tested, it is safe to use for people with sensitive eyes. It is also unscented so people who prefers unscented makeup products can enjoy this eye color.

I am now happy to share that I want to convert all my eye shadow collection into cream because I enjoy using it more than powdered eye shadows. I now question myself why I was not exposed earlier to cream eye shadows, it is so much easier using them.

One glass jar of the eye shadow may be quite expensive but the 6g of eye cream color will go a long way.

Cons: None noted.

  1. It's a bit pricey nga pero since it's highly pigmented, I am sure this will go a long way. Nice color. Gusto ko sya!
