PRODUCT REVIEW: MAYBELLINE'S POWDER MATTE LIPSTICK IN PLUM PERFECTION
Today, I will be sharing with you my first pick from the 15 new shades of Maybelline Powder Matte Collection. Last February 8, I attended the launch and posted an article about the new Powder Matte Lipsticks. From my previous post, I already shared the swatches of all the shades available but for this post I will share with you my product review for Maybelline's Powder Matte Lipstick in Plum Perfection.
The Plum Perfection belongs to the family of red shades. For me, this shade looks more on the brown shade than plum. The casing of the lipstick is the usual casing of Maybelline but its color is a shade of red.

For a matte lipstick, this powder matte variant is easy to glide on lips because it has a silky and powder-like texture. After application, it will later on dry and look matte.
If you want to use a lipstick that looks like the natural lip color, you may want to use this. The makeup artist suggested during the event that you can just dab a little of this lipstick, spread it using your lips and the effect is a really nice natural lip color.
This is my first choice because the color is borderline brown, plum, red or pink. Depending on the intensity of your application, it can create a different look. Also, even though I apply it darkly on my lips, it is still wearable even during daytime.
My complexion looked whiter because of the shade of the lipstick. I love it!
The lipstick is highly pigmented so a layer or two is enough to coat the lips so that means this will last long!
This is really affordable for only 299php each!
The lipstick is almost transfer-free. It only transferred when I made an effort to swipe my lips on the glass and utensils that I am using while eating and drinking.
It does not bleed out of the lips. However, some part of the lipstick is easily removed after eating. It does not leave a stain after removal.
Cons:
I suggest that you exfoliate your lips before using this powder matte lipstick because it has a tendency to settle on dry patches and lip lines. However, compared to the other powder matte lipsticks that I was able to try, this one does not settle on dry patches and lip lines as much as the others. So, this is still my favorite Maybelline Powder Matte Lipstick shade.
Last, I also suggest that you also moisturize your lips well before and after use, if you are continuously going to use it everyday because continuous usage can make your lips dry.
