Maybelline: Master Fix Spray

PRODUCT REVIEW: MAYBELLINE'S MASTER FIX SPRAY

Hello Beauties! If you are a makeup fanatic like me, you would understand the importance of setting sprays in makeup routine, but if you are still learning something about makeup - using a setting spray will help prolong your makeup. In other words, it keeps your look intact.

So far, my holy grail is Urban Decay's All Nighter. My only problem is, Urban Decay is not readily available in the Philippines and if there is something being sold by online sellers, it is still quite expensive. That is why, I try to look for a drugstore brand that I could use for daily basis. I reserve the Urban Decay for special occasions.

So for today, let us review this Maybelline's Master Fix Spray!

Pros:

You know there is a difference between a fix spray and setting spray. Maybelline named this fix spray but its purpose is to set your makeup. Actually it is almost the same but with fix spray, it helps your makeup to be more blended while the setting spray will prolong the wear of your makeup.

The formula of this spray is more watery than mist. So expect your face to be really wet upon application. Since it is water-like substance, it made my face moisturized all day. If you have an oily skin, try to use minimal amount as it has the tendency to make your skin oily if you applied too much.

To tell you honestly, this fix sometimes works for me and sometimes not. I think the foundation that you applied before still matters if it will last long. When I use liquid foundations, this spray prolonged the lasting look of my makeup. However, when I use creams or cushions, it melted my makeup faster or it does not extend its wear. Still, I like this better than the other drugstore setting sprays that I was able to try. For me, it is a good replacement for everyday use if you wanted to save money.

Cons:

It takes time to be fully absorbed by the skin. Increasing the wear of makeup still depends on the base makeup used.

The scent is the usual setting sprays that is quite strong.

I hope that they will use a finer nozzle to create a mist over a splash of water.
