PRODUCT REVIEW: INNISFREE'S PORE'S SUPER VOLCANIC CLAY MASK

Never tried any Innisfree products before and this is my first time but I know that this brand is famous and being recommended by most Koreans. Unfortunately, this is not readily available here in the Philippines and I managed to get this item from Althea Korea.

Lately, I am addicted to skin care over makeups if you can notice on my product reviews lately. I do not know if it is because of my impending birthday that will make me closer to the age of 30. I am actually dreading it, if only we all can avoid aging. Ugh!

Innisfree is a Korean brand that is known for their amazing skin care products. Their best seller is the Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. There are two kinds of the Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, its their classic, Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and this one called "Super" Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. I chose the Super just because it sounded like its more enhanced. LOL. Kidding aside, the difference of the Super Volcanic compared to Jeju Volcanic is that they are both made from Jeju clay but the Super has 6 functions compared to Jeju Volcanic that has only 3 functions. To make it straight, you get more from the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask.

The Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask was made from Jeju Volcanic Clay that is made from a lot of minerals that is effective in removing excess oils together with the dead skin cells.

The 6 qualities of this pore clay mask is that it:

1. Contract pores

2. Controls sebum

3. Exfoliate

4. Deep Cleanse

5. Brighten Tone

6. Cooling

In my experience of using clay masks, usually it tightens my skin and sometimes I can feel a tingling sensations. However, with this Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, the feeling is refreshing and cooling. I did not feel any tightening and tingling sensations at all.

After letting my skin absorb it for 10 minutes then rinsing it off, my skin looked brighter. It also feels supple and really clean. My smaller pores diminished in size but not that appreciated on bigger pores.

The clay did not make my skin drier nor oily. I did not experience any allergic reactions to it.

Even though that the texture of the clay is a little rubber-like, it is easy to spread onto my skin.

The scent is as expected with clay masks.

Cons:

The item does not contain a spatula. I recommend that you purchase a separate one to avoid contamination of the product. Try using a steel instead of a plastic spatula, the clay is hard to scoop.

The clay easily dries so make sure to seal your jar tightly and to consume it as soon as you started using it.

I did not manage to rinse it well off my skin on my first time use. I developed one pimple on my chin. I guess it clogged my pores.
