Shiseido: Glow Enhancing Primer

PRODUCT REVIEW: SHISEIDO'S GLOW ENHANCING PRIMER

My stock for primers were emptied and given the chance with Shiseido's Gift Certificates that I got from exchanging my empty containers, I was able to buy this one. (Together with the Wetforce BB.) Even though I want a full coverage makeup look, I still want to achieve a glowing look. So my little secret to glowing skin whenever I use a matte coverage foundation? This Glow Enhancing Primer from Shiseido!

Pros:

The Glow Enhancing Primer gives a matte finish look with a little glow. As a glow enhancing primer, do not expect that it will give a super shimmering or glittering look. This one just makes your skin look healthy and glowing that is subtle. You may not appreciate it that much on the photo but when you use it personally and look at it closely, the glow is there! As a primer, my skin looked smoother and it somehow helped in correcting the uneven color of my skin. It also has an SPF 15 protection. A first for me when it comes to primers.

Helps in making my makeup last longer but not as long compared to the other primers that I used. So best used with Shiseido's Wetforce BB Cream or Shiseido's UV Protect Liquid Foundation.

I find the cream sticky but it still does it job in making the application of foundation over it smoother and easier. The cream is thick too but it did not cause any greasiness effect on me. (Remember though, my skin is normal to dry and with its thick and sticky consistency, if you have an oily skin, you might want to try it out first in their stores before actually buying.)

If you do not want to go overboard with the glow, you can use it on your cheekbones as a strobe before you apply your foundation. So the glow will only come like a natural highlighter.

Cons:

I find it sticky. For me primers should be smooth and powder-like but this one is not.

Not to be used alone. You will not appreciate the glow unless you put something over it.

Compared to the other primers that I was able to use, this does not help make my makeup last as long compared to the other brands that I used. Though it still did help! :)

Expensive for a primer but this is Shiseido and it is the first primer that I encountered that gives a healthy glowing skin!
