PRODUCT REVIEW: MAYBELLINE'S V-FACE BLUSH CONTOUR IN WINE
Contouring is made easy with Maybelline New York's V-Face Blush Contour. The compact includes two shades of blush (the lighter shade can be used as a highlighter) and one contour powder and slim brush that can make us achieve a successful contouring.
Just a note though before I proceed with my reviews, it works best when used with Maybelline's V-Face Duo Stick.
Type: V-Face Blush
Product Description and How To Use:
I love how it all fitted in a one small compact case. Its easy to bring when travelling and it only requires a small space in my makeup pouch. If you just need a quick application, the included brush will suffice but if you wanted a more polished look, you may need to use other slim brush.
The combination of shades are great. The contouring powder looks natural in my skin tone and the pink shades for blush/highlighting also looked light and natural when applied. I prefer mixing the two shades of blush with the use of a blush brush because I like it when its more blended, the color is not too light nor too dark.
The contouring shade can also be used in other parts of the face such as contouring of the nose, jaw line and forehead.
The powder is smooth and soft and its easy to blend. It does not create as much powder dust compared to other products that I was able to try. The contouring powder shade is highly pigmented while the blush is okay. I need to put on more layers to achieve a warm looking blush on my skin.
I love that this contouring palette gives a subtle and more natural look instead of an obvious contoured face. It was successful in making a 3D look on my face.
The brush is not easy to use for the blush. It delivers too much product and the bristles are quite stiff and not gently on my skin. I prefer using it when I am too lazy to bring additional brush on my makeup pouch.
