PRODUCT REVIEW: MAKEUP FOREVER'S AQUA XL EYE PENCIL IN M10

Makeup Forever is a brand that I always check out in Trinoma but I promised myself no shopping for makeups for awhile so it remains on top of my wishlist for now. I never tried any Makeup Forever products yet and I read good reviews about them specially about their HD Foundation. After I used up my current foundations, its my priority to try out next.

I am so thankful that my friend, Ms. Carmel Villongco invited me to join her in Makeup Forever's Aqua XL Launch because I will now be exposed about the brand more. From the event, I learned that most of their products are designed to be long lasting and water proof. Its mainly for stage uses.

No wonder that their newest baby is a water proof eye pencil and it comes in wonderful colors too! I had fun swatching all the shades during the launch. I wanted to collect each shade, desperately! Imagine, I can wear different color every day but wait, I need to remind myself that I promised no purchasing of cosmetics for awhile. I need to cut back on my expenses...the struggle is so real, don't you think so?

In my personal experience, I never put anything on my lower eyelids because it always smudges. Literally, I look like a raccoon! I thought its just me that has a problem in using eye pencils but I am not the only one, my sister and even most of my colleagues at work suffers the same problem. Hence, ditching the use of it.

The use of eye pencil on lower eye lids brings out a foxy look specially when paired with a cat's eye on upper lids. It is just the perfect combination.

Finally, I found my holy grail in eye pencils! I just found the true waterproof and smudge-proof eyeliner that I was looking for! I can't wait to try out their other products as well now because I am already in love with their new Makeup Forever Aqua XL Eye Pencil!

I am so happy that I was given a full size sample at the event because now I can use it everyday! Yay! I can choose any shade from the collection for my sample but I chose the lighter shade of Black because I do not have a good black eye pencil yet. This is actually my first and it will not be the last.

The Aqua XL Eye Pencils will be available in the market soon so stay tuned! You can choose from the eye pencils finishes of matte, satin, iridescent, metallic and diamond.

Pros:

The pencil is tightly sealed and the expiration date is posted on the plastic. So do take note of it after removing the plastic.

The pencil is soft but it does not break easily. Since it is soft and creamy, it glided on my eyelids smoothly. It did not cause any irritation or uncomfortable feeling while applying it because it does not tug. With its smooth texture, one to two glide is enough to achieve a rich color.

In my experience, it is long-lasting. I went home with the eyeliner's intensity is still the same until i removed it. No wonder it is being used and endorsed by Charli XCX on her concerts. It survives! It also means that this pencil will last me long. I use it on my events and during work, I did not experience any hassle in re-touching and I was able to avoid looking like a raccoon.

The eye pencil is smudge-proof and water-proof. It can be smudged for a light smokey look but only upon application and you will need a brush to be able to do it.

Cons:

Since it is water-proof, it is kind of hard to remove even with the use of a regular makeup remover. It has a gel like texture that forms up a small clump whenever I try to remove it with regular makeup remover.

There is a special makeup remover by Makeup Forever for water-proof makeup that can easily remove it. If you plan to maintain using this eye pencil, I suggest you also invest on their makeup remover for water-proof makeups.
