PRODUCT REVIEW: CATHY DOLL'S GEISHA HANAZAKARI IN SHADE #4 RED ROSE
Liquid matte lipsticks are a thing right now. All of my haul lately consists of liquid lipsticks like ColourPop and Happy Skin. Now, I had the opportunity to try this liquid lipstick from the new brand in the Philippines, Cathy Doll. I got this from winning it in one of their booths on their launch last May 17, 2016. For my post about Cathy Doll's launch in the Philippines, you can read it here.
I am so excited to try it that I used this item first among all of the products that I got from the launch. During the event, I saw that it has five shades available and I chose this Red Rose because I love its bright red look with an orange-like undertone.
The five shades available from Geisha Hanazakari are: Sakura (#1), Pink Moss (#2), Wine Orchid (#3), Red Rose (#4) and Coral Red (#5).
I love Japanese culture, their food, their makeups and even their cultural and traditional Geishas. I even wanted to cosplay a look of a full Geisha. That is why I am all the more excited to use this lipstick because it reminds me of Geisha too.
I am now sharing my thoughts about this Geisha Hanazakari in Shade #4, Red Rose.
Brand: Cathy Doll
Type: Lip Matte
Shade: Red Rose #4
Product Description: Achieve exquisite lips which bloom like flower petals. Available in 5 distinctive shades of Asian red flowers, this super soft velvet lipstick flourishes your lips alike flowers in bloom. With it's matte semi-gloss innovation, the super formula brightens lips instantly and prevents dryness and flakes, akin to the outstanding lips of ancient Geishas.
This shade has a charming color. Its bright red and yet it is a shade that I can wear everyday. The lipstick's texture is matte but the finish feels like velvet when applied on my lips. Its soft and smooth. It has a semi-gloss look too and it prevents flakes and dryness of the lips.
The Geisha Hanazakari in shade #4 is not drying to my lips and it actually maintained some moisture to my lips. No need to use a lip balm before and after.
The expiration and batch number of the lipstick is indicated at the bottom of the tube for easier tracking.
The lipstick will last long and will not be removed unless I eat. It does not settle on dry patches of my lips and it also does not settle on lip lines.
It is not transfer-free. The lipstick is easily removed upon eating. I noticed that it bleeds a little outside of my lip curves but it can easily be fixed if I use a lip liner before applying.
It has a doe foot-like lip applicator. It just makes it tricky to apply lipstick on the edges specially on my Cupid's bow.
My first time to record myself applying a lipstick!
Buy again? 100% (It has five shades only so it is easy to collect and I wanted to review it all!)
