PRODUCT REVIEW: BANILA CO.'S CLEAN IT ZERO

Clean It Zero is the number one selling product of Banila Co. There are four types of Clean It namely the Radiance, Purity, Resveratrol and the one that I have, Classic. I got this full size sample from Banila Co.'s launch last year. For my post about the launch of Banila Co. in the Philippines, you can read it here

The Classic (Pink) is designed for combination or normal skin. Purity is for sensitive skin. Resveratrol is for oily skin and the Purity is for dry skin.

Banila Co. is a brand from South Korea that is finally here in the Philippines. I am so glad that they are now here because they are famous for their primers and Clean It Zero.

Are you now curious for the item that I am going to review? This Clean It Zero Classic is actually a balm that can remove makeup. Unlike the usual creams or liquids for a makeup remover, Banila Co. now offers it as a balm to soothe the skin.

Brand: Banila Co.

Type: Classic Balm

Target: Combination to normal skin

Weight: 100ml

Product Description: (Unfortunately, my item is written in Korean language.)

From Banila Co.'s website: Lightweight sorbet-like textured makeup removing cleansing balm that whisks away pore-clogging impurities.

Ingredients: (It is written in Korean too.)

From Banila Co.'s website: Mineral Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, PEG -10Isostearate, Polyethylene, Butylene Glycol, Water, Rubus Suavissimus (Raspberry) Leaf Extract, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Viscum Album, (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis Root Extract, Carica Papaya, (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Epilobium, Angustifolium Leaf Extract, BHT, Butylparaben, CI 16255, CI 15985, Fragrance

Pros:

The jar is frosted and looks elegant specially when displayed on my vanity table. Upon opening the jar, the balm is still sealed tightly. (Photo below)

The expiration date is indicted both on the bottom of the box and jar. This way, I can ditch the box totally.

The Clean It Zero came with a spatula and a hard plastic cover for the jar. After removing the tight seal, Banila Co. made sure that we can still seal it by adding a hard plastic cover inside the box.

It is hygienic to use this product because it came with a spatula. The spatula can be stored properly over the hard plastic cover that came with the box.

This sorbet like cleansing balm instantly removed my makeup. Even the water proof eyeliner! Since the balm is so smooth because it becomes an oil, it removed my water proof makeup easily. The balm did not sting my eyes even though I rubbed it repeatedly to remove the eyeliner.

The sherbet formula did not melt instantly, in fact even after removing my whole makeup, the balm on my cotton pad is still slightly visible.

It is my first time to use a balm as a makeup remover and its quite amazing that it does not make my skin feel raw even with a use of a cotton pad. Whenever I use a cotton pad and a liquid or cream makeup remover, the circular motion of removing makeup makes my skin feel irritated and raw but with this balm of Banila Co., it is my first time that I removed my makeup effortlessly without feeling sensitive.

Besides being a makeup remover and removing dead skin cells, it also tightens pores, hydrates and softens skin. It is a multi-use product!

After removing my makeup, unlike my other makeup removers, it maintained my skin hydrated.

One of the main ingredients is Papaya Extract - known to be a gentle exfoliator that breaks down dead skin cells for a more glowing complexion. I believe that it is effective in terms of making my skin glow because after using this, my skin immediately had this dewy look. (Photo below)

The balm is scented but so minimal. The light fragrance is perfect for me.

Cons:

It leaves a light greasy residue on my skin but it is not that bothering.

SWATCH:

I made a short video to share on how Clean It Zero removed the eyeliner on my hand.
