Tom Ford: Sable Smoke

PRODUCT REVIEW: TOM FORD'S SABLE SMOKE

I wish that Tom Ford is readily available on Malls here in the Philippines but the brand is not yet here officially. Anyway, there are a lot of online sellers who resells Tom Ford lipsticks but it is quite expensive. Thanks to a friend, she offered this Tom Ford Sable in Smoke to me as a pre-loved lipstick and I got it for only 1,000php. It is a great find since sellers sell it for at least 2,500php.

Sable Smoke is my first Tom Ford Lipstick and I am so happy that it is also in Nude because I love nude shades. Nothing beats the no makeup makeup look.

Since I got this as a pre-loved lipstick, I have no box and list of ingredients anymore. So all I can provide you is my thoughts about this lipstick.

As you can see, it has a shiny classic black and gold packaging with engraved TF on top. The packaging is slightly heavy which just means it has a good quality.

For my thoughts in details, let me now break it down.

Pros:

The texture is very creamy and it does not make my lips any drier. The color on the stick is also what I get when I wear it. It is highly pigmented that one to two layers of lipstick application is enough.

It lasted for several hours around 5 to 6 hours without eating. The lipstick does not settle on lip lines or dry patches. My lips look full and smooth when I use this lipstick.

The shade Sable Smoke looks similar to MAC's Creme De Nude but this looks more peach in shade. The Sable Smoke is a real peach nude lipstick. For me, this is one of the perfect no makeup look lipstick that I can use. I get compliments whenever I use this shade.

Cons:

The lipstick is expensive. Unless you are like me who still loves to use and try high end cosmetics, you will understand the need to still try it out.

When I do not have a full makeup on and I wore this lipstick, it does not go well, I really look pale.

The Sable Smoke does not leave any stain on lips. For the scent, it does not smell as nice compared to my other lipsticks.
