FARMSTAY: KOREAN BRAND NOW IN THE PHILIPPINES!

Korean brands are known to create items that are effective and affordable specially in their line of skincare. My experience with Zamian Snail Escargot Cream is great that if the brand did not discontinued its manufacturing, I will still buy it.

I got a package from Farmstay that I can use and try their products and share my experiences here in my blog. I am so happy that I will be able to use products with snail essences again!

Let me give you a brief background about Farmstay. Farmstay: The Secret of Snails is from Korea and in 1980's, snail farmers in Chile were exporting snails to restaurants in Europe, they noticed that the skin in their hands became extremely soft. Injuries, cuts also healed quite quickly without getting infected.

Research was done and the studies showed that snail contains a perfect balance of protein, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants which:

> Stimulates production of elastin and collagen. Elastin is the "rubber band" of skin - t makes the skin "snap back" to its original shape after being stretched or contracted. Collagen is a protein that supports skin, keeping it strong and firm.
> Protect the skin from harmful elements in the environment that lead to premature skin aging.

Snail slime is ideal for preventing and repairing wrinkles, making skin firm, flexible and plump. Also, it visibly tightens pores. It dramatically hydrates the skin for a softer and smoother texture. It is also ideal for healing inflamed, irritated or damaged skin due to burns or acnes.

Farmstay shares with us the 10-Step Korean Skin Care Routine. Want to know what it includes? It is their secret in having those smooth and seemingly poreless skin! The secret lies in the amount of time and dedication they invest into taking care of their skin. Here is what they do:

1. Makeup Removal

Yes, I believe in this routine too. Even if you wash your face with a cleanser several times and if you use a makeup remover after, it still gets a lot of dirt from cosmetics you used that you already thought was removed by the soap. It also removes sebum caused by makeups. For me, use a makeup remover first before cleansing your face.

As of today, I use Bifesta as my makeup remover. It works well and really affordable.

2. Cleansing

I got a Pure Cleansing Foam from Farmstay. It is an Aloe based cleansing foam. I prefer liquid facial cleanser like this foam instead of bar soaps because they are gentler on my skin and it is easier to rinse out. Not only that, it is more hygienic because you do not have to store and expose the foam like what you do in a bar soap.

3. Exfoliant

I love exfoliators! I maintain using Cure made from Japan because it is gentle even for people with eczema. I am excited to try out this All-in-One Whitening Peeling Gel made in Kiwi from Farmstay. It is said to be gentle for the skin too.

Others skip using peeling gels but to remind you readers, this is an important part of a skincare routing. The exfoliators will be the one in charge in removing dead skin cells that still sticks in your skin. At least once a week, you should exfoliate.

4. Toner

Toner removes oil, perspiration and makeup that was still left on your skin. Other brands offer softener instead of toner but they almost work the same.

5. Essence

I only see essence mostly from Korean brands. Essence is a moisturizer in liquid form. Usually applied after toner.

6. Serum

Oooohhh, serums are the best skincare invention for me. Even if I skip all the other moisturizers and essences, serum can do all the work! Serums lightens dark spots and it also moisturizes the skin. There are a lot of serums available in the market, find what works best for you.

7. Face Mask

Using face masks provides a boost of hydration and nourishment and it keeps your skin hydrated until the mask dried up on your face. I do not know if Farmstay and 3W are owned by one company but the masks from Farmstay has a brand logo of 3W Clinic on their packaging. I use 3W products and I love their items!

8. Eye Cream

I admit, most of the times I skip this routine... eye creams are usually expensive! I just use samples from Estee Lauder that my mother sends me so whenever I run out of those, I skip it. Whenever I use one though, the dark circles under my eyes reduces and my eyes look more alive.

9. Emulsion

Korean brands are the only ones that I see having emulsion products. It is also a moisturizer in liquid form.

10. Night Cream

Night Creams are usually thick and creamy. Sometimes I also use serums instead of night creams. Night creams are moisturizers that are very rich in nutrients needed by your skin.

Phew... that is a lot of hardwork right? It needs discipline and determination but whenever you think of a Korean with a good skin, you know what you need to do.

Farmstay is being distributed in the Philippines by McDell Healthcare Products, Inc. - it is a Filipino owned company that manufactures, imports, markets and distributes its beauty, health and wellness products.
