Smashbox: Full Exposure Mascara

PRODUCT REVIEW: SMASHBOX'S FULL EXPOSURE MASCARA

I got this mascara from my mother, she sent it from US. It is my first Smashbox item. I am not sure if they sell one here in Beauty Bar, where Smashbox has a small retail store.

Until now, I am having a hard time to find my holy grail in mascaras. I still cannot find the perfect one or my "the one". I am still so open in trying out different brands and varieties.

Full Exposure Mascara is only available in Jet black shade.

So today, let me share with you my experience with Smashbox's Full Exposure Mascara.

Pros:

Paraben free. According from Smashbox, its formula contains natural properties of olive oil to keep lashes silky soft and I agree. It feels soft and naturally light on my lashes. It is easy to remove even with just the use of toner, no need to rub it off hard or use a makeup remover. (Although I still advice you to use a makeup remover so it is much more easier and milder for your eyes.) So far, this is the mildest mascara that I used. No sting upon removal and smudging.

It did increase the volume of my lashes while length increase is just minimal.

Cons:

It is said that it is water proof but it is not, I experienced smudging and raccoon eyes after a little sweat. It also smudges when you rub your eyes, it is a bad habit of mine that I am tired I usually scratch or rub my eyes, that is why I can test most of my mascaras and eye shadows if it is smudge free...LOL. I keep on forgetting I have my makeup on.

It did not curled my lashes. I tried it with and without the use of eye curler and it did not help in curling my lashes. I tried applying several layers and the volume and length remained the same with one coating. (See my sample photos below)

The stick is so big that it is hard to reach the lashes near my lids.
